{"id":1208,"date":"2016-04-08T12:55:26","date_gmt":"2016-04-08T00:55:26","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.dnwfriends.nzl.org\/?p=1208"},"modified":"2016-04-08T12:55:26","modified_gmt":"2016-04-08T00:55:26","slug":"childrens-literature-masters-paper-at-the-university-of-waikato-in-semester-b","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dnwfriends.nzl.org\/index.php\/2016\/04\/08\/childrens-literature-masters-paper-at-the-university-of-waikato-in-semester-b\/","title":{"rendered":"Children&#8217;s Literature Masters Paper at the University of Waikato in Semester B."},"content":{"rendered":"<p>In semester B (starting July 18) the Faculty of Education at the University of Waikato will offer a masters level paper entitled &#8216;ALED 551-15B Special Topic: Children&#8217;s Literature and Educational Contexts&#8217;.<\/p>\n<p>This paper will begin with a block course at the Hamilton campus on Friday 22nd and Saturday 23rd July (9.00-3pm), and will continue in an online medium for the rest of the semester, with readings \u00a0and facilitated online discussions.Topics to be covered include an introduction to children&#8217;s literature and educational contexts, postmodern children&#8217;s literature and new media, multicultural children&#8217;s literature, and analysing the visual in children&#8217;s literature.
